About E-qual Paperless Portfolio

E-qual is a complete online paperless portfolio system. It is ideal for the delivery of vocational qualifications such as NVQs but is totally flexible to deliver any other academic qualification.

The role structure of E-qual.

E-qual Paperless Portfolio is centered around the candidate. This candidate is assigned to one or more qualifications and has a portfolio for each.

A portfolio team is assigned to the candidate for each qualification. This team can consist of any combination of:
  • assessor
  • trainee assessor
  • internal verifier
  • external verifier
  • expert witness advisor.
All of these roles and many others are catered for in E-qual. You can also have multiples of these roles, for instance a candidate can have 2 assessors.

Users in each role have a simple interface that presents the information and functions they require in an intuitive way, reducing the need for extensive training. Once a user has mastered a few basic concepts about what each area is for and how to upload, attach and view documents, they should have all the skills they need to build, view and assess portfolios.

To help with familiarisation, each user has access to a user guide, video help files and textual help to make the software easy to understand and use.

Flexible access

E-qual allows the candidate and assessors to upload documents to a File Store. Once documents have been uploaded the portfolio can be built. Evidence is cross referenced from the File Store against the qualification and then commented on.


Users get instant feedback.

Candidates and assessors can choose to have email alerts sent to them to let them know when work has been carried out in the portfolio.

The resulting portfolio of evidence can be accessed, reviewed and sampled at any time by the other members of the portfolio team and feedback can be provided at any point. This enables a flexible approach to portfolio completion. A Discussions system allows messages to be left between users in each portfolio.

Extra features

E-qual is enhanced by a Resources area where documents, learning materials and weblinks can be added and shared with relevant users. Forums are also available to allow E-qual users to have discussions with each other.

Extensive list of roles

There are many roles available in E-qual Paperless Portfolio. These roles enable awarding bodies and training centres to assess, verify and monitor portfolios and ensure competency and quality in all aspects of their work. A user in E-qual can work with multiple roles, for example a user can be both an assessor and an internal verifier.

Training

E-qual Paperless Portfolio is very easy and intuitive for all roles. However, we would recommend training for internal verifiers, assessors and administrators. We are happy to deliver structured training at a venue of your choice, please contact us for details and prices.

Our training covers the principles of how E-qual is structured, how to use the software effectively and also gives you an opportunity to train your staff in the assessment processes your centre will use through the E-qual application.

Costing details

E-qual Paperless Portfolio has a simple pricing model. As the application is centered around the candidate, you only pay for the number of candidates you put through each qualification. A charge of £25.00 is made per candidate, per qualification. There are no hidden costs, price bands or variable levels of access and support.

The price includes:
  • initial setup of your centre and an administrator
  • setup of qualifications
  • ability to setup IVs, Assessors, Trainee Assessors and all other roles
  • full access to our hosted version of E-qual Paperless Portfolio for all users
  • access to help documentation and video tutorials
  • email support for users
  • storage of files and data
  • backup of data in our secure UK data centre.
